CITRUS SOCIAL CLUB: BORN FROM THE GRIND
To be honest, I never set out to start a fashion brand. I just wanted a T-shirt that lasted longer than a double shift and a uniform that didn’t look like everyone else’s.
I’ve spent the better part of three decades in the hospitality industry. I’ve owned the bars, run the restaurants, and spent years training teams to open five-star hotels for groups like Four Seasons and Anantara Resorts—from the turquoise waters of the Maldives and the Seychelles to the heart of Bahrain and the Philippines.
THE TIPPING POINT (STAFF WITH SCISSORS)
We hit "Uniform Season" number six, and once again, nothing was right. I was seeing terrible quality fabrics that devalued the brand I worked so hard to build. Even when we found "good" quality, the silhouettes were so unfashionable that I’d walk into the bar and find my staff had taken scissors to their sleeves just to make them look cool.
I wanted a uniform my staff wore to work because they had to, but kept on after their shift because they wanted to.
THE ACCIDENTAL BRAND
I contacted a factory in China with a simple thought: Why not make the uniform myself? I figured I’d sell the excess on the bar's website to fund the builds forever.
Then I got carried away. Citrus Social Club was born.
It rekindled a love for fashion and graphic tees that started in my teenage years as an old-school skateboarder. I grew up in an era where T-shirts were built like armor—heavy, durable, and capable of surviving a 180 kickflip or a hundred trips through an industrial laundry. I realized I wasn't just making a uniform anymore; I was chasing that 100% heavyweight cotton feeling I hadn't felt in years.

While Citrus Social Club is my passion, my DNA is rooted in the service industry.
When you buy a shirt from us, you aren’t just buying fabric; you’re buying into a standard of excellence. I am an award-winning bartender and mixologist who still owns and operates a successful cocktail bar today. My career has been dedicated to the "Social" in Social Club—creating spaces where people feel looked after.
